First let’s state the difference between Telepathy (T) which we know exists, and that which we are looking to achieve, and Controllable Telepathy, (CT) which currently does not.

CT is the Holy Grail which will change everything, and for reasons which will be explained further on, is a fact which will inevitably come to pass

Controllable Telepathy (CT) won’t be found by following the process we understand as logic. Why not? Well because if it was possible to crack the nut using that particular process, someone would have done it by now. Thousands of years of logical thinking would inevitably have solved the riddle. But the fact that mankind hasn’t been able to uncover CT through logic shouldn’t be seen as discouraging. Logic is just the easiest way of solving problems that our simple minds latched on to at an early stage as they evolved. Low hanging fruit. In the same way that we see the sky as blue because that’s the way our simple eyes tell us it is, our minds have taken the path of least resistance and created logic as a solution to our immediate problems. Low hanging fruit.

Here though we are going to reach a bit higher up the tree. As our minds have failed to develop a more complex set of capacities we are going to have to approach this more along irrational lines. By using steps where nothing makes sense at all. And we shouldn’t be discouraged by scientists who tell us that this approach is nonsense and that only following step by step logic will provide definitive answers. At the time of writing, the scientists are still unable to account for 90% of the matter in the universe, yet will still categorically claim that only logic can find all the answers. (And despite accepting they can only see 10% of the universe, these same scientists will also categorically tell you there is no god. Seems pretty arrogant to me but I digress).

So we will be making some assumptions. Then keeping some of those suppositions and throwing others away. But each one of these assumptions are ideas which you should be able to accept as at least reasonable, and which when combined, will hopefully form into a bigger picture until together we uncover the answer we seek.

If you find any of these assumptions unreasonable you are of course free to discard them. Nothing is compulsory here. Consider them just as additional fuel for your own thought.

In the next section you'll find the first of these assumptions. Its fundamental to everything that follows and frankly it’s a doozy. But before that, first consider this:

Controllable Telepathy will ultimately be uncovered by a nutter.

Why? Because anyone who embraces ideas beyond what society considers to be correct and logical processes is thought to be mentally not all there. Anyone who steps outside of the generally accepted rationale and works with the unconventional is considered not quite right in the head. In short, a nutter.

However, I can assure you that great minds DO NOT think alike. If we all do the same things we will all achieve the same results. But having accepted the earlier premise that Telepathy won’t be found entirely through the use of logic or standard thought processes, you are now firmly inside the world of nutters.

Welcome to my world. It’s nice to no longer be alone.
